The Michigan City Aviators Chapter 966 of the Experimental Aircraft Association sponsors its annual Fly-in Pancake Breakfast at Michigan City Airport from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 13.
Breakfast is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children, with 50 cents off for tickets purchased in advance from members, Virk’s BP Amoco or the Michigan City Municipal Airport on Indiana 212 on the east side of Michigan City.
Breakfast includes plain or blueberry pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice and milk.
Airplane rides are being offered for a fee, which is dependent upon fuel prices. Rides last 15 to 20 minutes and take people for a flight over Lake Michigan and Michigan City.
A World War II military war bird from a museum in Valparaiso will be on display, along with member aircraft. The chapter consists of members from the area who have their own airplanes.
